Finding the right answer while you’re coding should be fast. Whether you’re exploring a new framework class, looking for the correct method, or simply can’t remember the exact syntax, you want to spend your time building software, not searching through documentation.

That’s exactly why we’ve introduced the new DataFlex AI Assistant, now integrated directly into the DataFlex Online Documentation.

The AI AssistantPB Enabled

Instead of browsing page after page, you can simply ask a question in natural language. Need to know how a particular class works? Looking for the right event to override? Want an example of a WebApp feature? Just ask. The AI Assistant searches the DataFlex documentation and helps you find the information you need in seconds.

Because it’s built specifically for DataFlex, it understands the language you already use every day. Ask about classes like cWebView, methods such as Request_Save, or properties like pbEnabled, and receive explanations, links to the relevant documentation, and practical code examples that help you move forward faster.

The conversation doesn’t stop after a single answer, either. The AI Assistant remembers the context of your chat in the current session, making it easy to ask follow-up questions, refine an example, or dig deeper into a particular topic without having to start over.

And because DataFlex has a global community, the AI Assistant also speaks your language. Whether you prefer English, German, Portuguese, Dutch, or another language, you can ask questions naturally and receive answers in the language you’re most comfortable with.

More than a chatbot

The DataFlex AI Assistant is more than a convenient way to search the documentation. It’s the first step in our vision of transforming the DataFlex documentation into an intelligent knowledge hub, one that not only contains information, but actively helps developers find, understand, and apply it.

As the platform continues to evolve, so will the AI experience, making it even easier to discover features, learn new capabilities, and become more productive with DataFlex.

Help us make it even better

Was this helpfulThe DataFlex AI Assistant is continuously improving, and your feedback plays an important role in that process. Whenever you receive an answer, you can let us know how it did by giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down. If something wasn’t quite right, or if you have ideas for improvement, you can also leave additional feedback explaining what happened.

Every piece of feedback helps us improve the quality of the answers, identify gaps in the documentation, and make the AI Assistant more useful for the entire DataFlex community.

If you’re signed in with your DataFlex Account (DFA), we will be able to see that the feedback came from you. In some cases, we may even reach out to learn more about your experience or ask a few follow-up questions. Those conversations help us understand real-world use cases and ensure the AI Assistant keeps getting better with every release.

Together, we can build an AI Assistant that truly understands the way DataFlex developers work.
